If you are interested in serene countryside, go to Wales which is sparsely populated and is home to huge areas of unspoiled wilderness. If you want to go hiking, go to Scotland. Rolling hills and vistas are excellent backpacking destinations. If you want to take some risks, go to Northern Island which is home to rough and isolated areas.
