The Gamma WordPress theme is a very clean and modern WordPress theme that has been setup to make it easy for you to create a corporate, portfolio or even a simple blog for yourself or your client. All the main aspects of the theme (portfolio, services, staff, faqs, slider…) are controlled via custom post types so not only is adding and managing content very easy, but you don’t have to rely on adding in shortcodes everywhere to get the design you see in the demo.
Included is a drag-and-drop homepage that comes with 8 pre-setup modules (staff, services, portfolio, highlights, blog posts, static page and widgets) and 5 extra “custom” modules you can use to add any HTML , text or shortcodes you wish. And of course all the built-in modules come with options, for example for the portfolio module you can choose how many items to show, the columns you want, title and the optional title link. Setting up your homepage should be a breeze! Especially with the included sample .xml data which will give you a good head start.
Tons of features without all the bulk – Gamma has many great built-in features and theme options, but we’ve kept out a lot of those features you often see in other themes that aren’t necessary. For example Gamma comes with built-in support for the Yoast’s breadcrumbs plugin rather then having its own function, the Source Sans Pro Google Font is already in use in the theme so typography looks amazing to start with – no need to change it. Another example is the “Slider Alternative” theme panel field which will allow you to easily insert a shortcode to <strong>replace the homepage slider if you want to use your own slider plugin!</strong>
Custom CSS field in the theme panel will allow you to make small adjustments, of course the theme also works with child-themes. Support for Font Awesome makes it really simple to add icons to your services without having to create your own images.
