Wings is a premium portfolio and blog theme which helps you to present your text and media content in a professional and minimalistic way. It comes with two different styles (dark & light) – both designed to keep the focus on the content and your portfolio presentations. No annoying images or scripts which may destroy the professional appearance you need for a buisness website. The minimalistic look has several advantages; among them quick loading times, focus on content and images, easy website customizations and maintenance. The theme is structured by state of the art templatepart programming which makes it easy to adjust the design, the layout and to integrate own code parts/modules (i.e. custom tag, author or media archives). The framework of the theme is battle provided. The option pages mainly use php to ensure cross browser compatibility, a stable and secure workflow and help you to minimize any jquery/js conflicts which may occur with current or upcoming jquery versions or plugins.

Latest post widget – display the latest posts (number of posts can be adjusted and you can exclude/include categories)
Latest portfolio widget – display the latest portfolio entries (number of entries can be adjusted and you can exclude/include categories)
Twitter widget to display latest tweets with au avatar (you can disable the avatar, adjust the amount of tweets, etc.).

We follow wordpress.org coding guidlines and use state of the art templatepart coding.
W3C valid xhtml code/markup. Valid CSS. Unobtrusive Javascript.
Layerd PSDs for icons, including tag, comment and hover image icons.

Automatic image alt and title attribute generation if they\’re not set.

3 styles – light, dark and mixed.
2 layouts for each style – boxed and fullwidth (boxed is great if you want to display background images).
Option to set the headline font family. Several designer fonts come with the theme, you can easily implement your own fonts though. The font implementation is based on the font-face technique.
Custom headline text color (default is orange).
WordPress background option panel supported. Set a custom background image & color.
WordPress Menu Manager supported. Create your own, custom menu by using the menu manager (Appearance > Menus)
Footer & header logo uploader and google analytics option.

Create unlimited portfolio pages.
Custom post type with seperate portfolio categories and articles/posts.
Select portfolio layout for each portfolio page – you can display 2 columns with sidebar or 3 columns without sidebar.
Show portfolio page content/headline before portfolio items (you can also disable this feature)
Select which portfolio categories should appear on a portfolio page – you can choose different/same categories for each portfolio page individually.

Create as many sliders as you like.
Add as many slides as you like.
The sliders can be called via shortcodes or you can use a slider instead of a featured image.
The dimensions can be set manually or Wings will set the dimension based on the page layout.
Timthumb resizes your images automatically (however you can turn this feature off).
The slider is based on the popular Nivo Slider.

Note: Very likely the theme supports older browser versions but we couldn’t test them.
