Optimized for SEO and Micro Formats
The theme is optimized for basic SEO requirements like content hierarchy, semantic code, internal linking and appropriate tags. The content area always resides above sidebar in the code. Internal linking is provided through menus and related posts. Dynamic heading tags are generated for main site name, and are optimized appropriately for single, archives, and front page. The theme is also optimized for micro formats and meta data on author names, avatar, and author links. This is generally used by Search engines for displaying author information along with results.
Responsive/Adaptive/Proportional and Retina ready
NewsPlus is built with a mix of fluid and adaptive layout. This makes it fairly responsive for various mobile devices and tablets. Optionally, you can turn of responsive feature too. Most of the theme graphics are vector based and are suitable for retina display devices. The theme also supports proportional layout scaling. i.e. if the base html font size is changed, the layout grids will change in proportion. This makes sure your site looks good in proportion when base font size is changed. (You can try this option on live demo’s option panel. Use 87.5 for 14px and 100 for 16px).
Introducing Multi-tool post short code
With this single short code, you can generate posts in 6 different styles. (Like, 1 columnar, 2 columnar, vertical list, plain list, etc.). This tool allows you to query posts from category, tags, post IDs, and from Custom Post Types. Other helpful options include control over excerpt length, post meta enable/disable, orderby title, date, random, most commented, etc. All these features are also available on Posts Slider and Posts Carousel. Not to mention, you can use this short code any where on the site.
Support for languages with RTL orientation
NewsPlus comes with RTL CSS support. To make sure you can use the theme equally good on RTL languages like Arabic and Hebrew. rtl.css is loaded automatically if you are using RTL version of WordPress. But you can also load it forcefully from theme options panel.
