We created a number of little snaps of the admin panel that powers Simpro. These were created for the help documentation included with the theme to show exactly what we’re talking about in each step but I thought they might also be useful to show you quick sneak peeks of how the admin panel looks and functions. Of course the admin panel has loads more options and sections but here are just a few.

Changelog – Recent additions and changes to Simpro
v1.0.08 (Submitted 9th April)
* Updated Twitter widget to handle Twitter overloaded error and improved handling of multiple tweets.
* Added 5th homepage option – ‘blog as homepage’ which combines the homepage look with the slider and intro blocks, along with the main blog template. (preview)
* Changed ‘Portfolio – Classic’ template to use timthumb script for resizing and cropping instead of inbuilt WordPress functions. This is because WP was not resizing images to the correct size which caused images to be too big for their containing div and the image overflow was being hidden, making images not look centered.
* Changed ‘single.php’ which displays posts to use timthumb script instead of WP inbuilt function for the same reasons as above.
* Changed ‘loop-blog.php’ which displays your posts on your blog page to use timthumb script for the same reasons as above.
* Changed handling of #pattern div height to be set on window load, instead of document ready to prevent miscalculation of height where images were not yet fully loaded on image heavy posts and pages.
* Added image output to homepage content blocks, for some reason these were left out.
* Updated portfolio templates to use h1 for page title which was previously using h2.
